Cattle Slasher Pete Dixon Captured Near Winchester
Sergeant Taylor will bring Pete Dixon alias Pete the Slasher to Winchester tonight after Harrisburg police arrested the notorious cattle killer. Dixon, a feared Frederick County desperado, slashed throats of cattle owned by Mrs. Hiram Roe east of Winchester. He had evaded capture since January but was nabbed through a Harrisburg description leading to Steelton residence. The crime carries a penitentiary sentence of three to ten years. Dixon is a noted member of a criminal family and has a long jail record. He is expected to have a hearing tomorrow.
