A Front Royal special reports Benjamin Leach died at his home after two months illness from paralysis and heart trouble. He was seventy, funeral held at 1 PM. Survived by seven daughters including Mrs. Grubbs and Miss Jennie Leach of Front Royal. others live in Browntown Amisville Luray and Rappahannock. He was uncle to Warren County Clerk T. V. Leach.

Recovering spectacles prompt ad in The Star
A South Main Street woman lost her spectacles near the night before and reported the loss to The Steak office. Ten minutes later a man returned them to the office and the ad was withdrawn. Funeral of Peter Ruble Sr. Held Near Whie Hall
The funeral for Peter Ruble Sr aged about 80 was held from his home on Babb's Run near White Hall this afternoon. He left ten sons and two daughters plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving children include Mathias Jackson Peter Jr Samuel Winton George James John David Jacob and Mrs Andrew Clark and Mrs Wm Boxwell. Interment followed at Little Mountain Cemetery near Cedar Grove after a long life with no prior illnesses.

Cyrus A. Lewis a young farmer near Bethel Church six miles from Winchester died late last night of pneumonia after about ten days illness. He was 34, son of Geo W. Lewis, and survived by a widow and one child. His wife was Miss Fries, daughter of Jas Fries. Funeral is tomorrow morning with interment at Bethel Church.

Funeral of Mrs Mahala Newlin Held at Home

City Considers Sale of $9,000 Bonds for Rouss Hall
The city finance committee undecided whether to sell the $9,000 bonds publicly or privately to finish Rouss City Hall. An offer was received to take the entire issue at par.
