Triplett Payne Dies In Berkeley
Triplett Allamong Payne a leading farmer of southern Berkeley county died at his son W O C Payne’s home near Darkesville aged 69 after a yearlong illness. The funeral was held at the house with Rev J S Douglas officiating and the remains sent to Martinsboro. Pallbearers were ex Confederates. He served in Company B First Virginia Cavalry during the war and is survived by his widow a son four brothers two sisters.

Hamilton McKee Dies of Cancer in Virginia
Whitacre Virginia February 8 Hamilton McKee died at his home near Largent on Capon River after a lingering cancer illness. His remains were buried Saturday at Forks of Capon. He was about 75 and survived by his wife one sister Mrs John Strother and one brother Oliver McKee.
