Freder ick county apple growers sue attachments totaling more than 18000 on apples in cold storage in Winchester and Charles Town held by Samuel Haines of Lockport New York as market prices sank. The claimants say about 10000 dollars of fruit sold to Haines remains unpaid and a meeting with creditors is expected to settle the matter.

Intelligence arrived of the death of Miss Agnes Stump at the home of her sister Mrs E L Weaver in Staunton on Thursday afternoon. A respected Augusta County schoolteacher she was reared in Charles Town and graduated from Stephenson Seminary in 1908. She leaves two sisters Mrs Nannie S Weaver of Staunton and Miss Lillian Stump, a Stephenson Seminary student, plus a brother Fred Stump of New York and half brother Welles Stump of New York.

Remains of Late Mrs. Conner Buried in Refuge
The remains of Mrs Estelle Conner wife of Harvey Conner were buried at Refuge Virginia on Thursday with Rev Charles Lynch officiating. The funeral drew many relatives and friends. Mrs Conner died after a short illness from typhoid fever. Formerly Miss Carroll of Clarke county she leaves a husband and a number of brothers and sisters. She was described as a young Christian woman in the prime of life and will be greatly missed.
