Heavy wagon passes over Shoemaker near Winchester
A man named Shoemaker of Wardensville West Virginia fell from a heavily loaded wagon on the Cedar Creek road several miles from Winchester. A trace broke causing the wagon to roll over his chest right arm and a leg. He was unconscious for hours revived by Dr W A Bell of Winchester and then sent home. Internal injuries suspected. He has a wife and many children.

Roanoke February 4. The jury found Charles R. Fishburn a young banker guilty of murder in the second degree and sentenced him to five years in the state penitentiary.
