Jealous farmer shoots sweetheart then kills self in Virginia tragedy
In Page County near Naked Creek Virginia 28 year old Fitzhugh Comer shot his 20 year old sweetheart Cora Turner in the churchyard at Naked Creek then killed himself after an hour of talking near the colored church. The girl died eight minutes later and both families mourn. Comer had threats to kill Turner over a rival suitor Fletcher Hammer.
