Newsy Notes From Lake View Way
Lake View Virginia notes late December with butchering and turkey catching as daily tasks. Mrs. Charlotte Grubb dominates pork slaughter totals while Mollie Williams sells turkeys at high prices. Major Swimley warns of a lively Christmas and rivalry in a shooting contest and potential marriage wins. Local moves and a new duet emerge as community life continues with holiday wishes.
