Requisition Not Needed for Judge Williams Appearance
Governor Swanson received the requisition request but a Roanoke law firm telegram stated Judge Williams would appear at the January term of the McDowell County Criminal Court. With the judge willing to answer the charges, he is no longer a fugitive, and Governor Glasscock is expected to withdraw the requisition. The delay is argued to cause West Virginia no loss.
