Horse's Kick Breaks A Farmer's Jawbone
Burnt Factory December 18. Mr. Madison Grubb of the Eddy farm narrowly escaped death when a horse kicked him while trimming burrs from the animal’s fetlocks. The blow broke the right jawbone in two places. Grubb is a respected farmer and his friends offer sympathy. The missionary rally was postponed to Sunday the 24th at 3 p.m. Butchering is underway with heavy hogs. Mr. J. J. Ridgeway of Rest visited the village recently.

Infant's Body To Be Brought Here
Undertaker Geo W Kurta was notified of the death in Washington D C of Lester Dunlap infant son of Mr and Mrs Turner Dunlap. The remains will be brought to Winchester at noon tomorrow via the Baltimore and Ohio and taken to the Christian Church in Hampshire county West Virginia for burial. The child was two and a half years old and is survived by a twin brother and its parents.

Fear of Hanging Drives Ferrall Rielly to Wild Escape

Fatally Crushed Under Heavy Wagon
Charles Eisenberg a 17 year old son of David Eisenberg farmer of Lost City West Virginia was run over by his father's wagon in Broadway Virginia yesterday afternoon. He sustained internal injuries expected to prove fatal and it is believed he fell while attempting to draw the brake. The wagon was pulled by two horses and the boy was beneath the rear wheel when the accident occurred. He was carried to a room in the Arlington Hotel after witnesses aided his father.

Blazing steer escapes barn fire in Washington County
A large Maryland barn fire drew a blazing steer through flames as it fled. The animal escaped into a field then crossed toward another barn, sliding into an unused outhouse cellar where it was doused with water. After treatment its coat burned away but it recovered and chewed cud peacefully.
