The Frederick County Teachers Association holds its regular monthly meeting in the Winchester courthouse this Saturday at 10 o'clock. All county teachers urged to attend. Prof. N. D. Cool of Winchester city schools will discuss the importance of a strong teachers organization locally and statewide. Col. J. C. Baker of Stephens City high school will discuss teaching history in public schools.

Forty One Miles Through the Snow Whitacre
Whitacre Virginia December 8. Deep snow disrupted mail service this week yet the Whitacre mail run by Mr. E. Clark covered 41 miles daily and arrived close to schedule. About 14 inches of snowfall marked the season’s first big storm. S. W. Dolan left for Keyser West Virginia to start a barber business, wished well by the community.

Baltimore report says Rev Carlton D Harris son of the late Rev David Harris of Middletown will probably move from Central Methodist Episcopal Church South Baltimore to Epworth Institutional Church Atlanta Ga. The conference meets in March and promotion would come with the Atlanta appointment. Harris is noted as an effective minister and lecturer with ties to Martinsburg and Baltimore. Funeral services for Roy Temple Marshall were held in Winchester at First Baptist Church with interment at Mount Hebron.
