Special to The Star reports Hatton North Dakota town of about 700 people was completely destroyed by a cyclone. Three were fatally injured and many missing. Twenty loaded box cars were blown from Great Northern tracks, an elevator was toppled, and roofs and buildings were scattered over Traill County.
The Auditorium opens tonight with Grau stark dramatized from McCutcheon. Manager Hable presents the play, arriving company from Martinsburg after a packed reception. Advance seats report strong sales and a large stylish crowd is expected.
The new high school building at Strasboro in Shenandoah County Virginia nears completion and will open with the fall term. Erected under the new law it is described as one of the largest and most complete in the Virginia Valley. Also notices advertise a farm sale near Summit Point with cattle hogs and draft horses and a sale time of 10 o'clock.
Crippen and his typist Ethel Leneve faced Bow Street magistrates on a charge of willful murder in London. The duo deny confessing to Belle Elmore's murder but admit planning death by their own action en route from Canada. Proceedings centered on formal evidence with a hearing set for September 6.

Mrs Sibley wife of Rev Julian Sibley formerly pastor at Winchester now in Pensacola Fla faced a burglar alone in her home on West Gregory street. The intruder fled after her scream while neighbors aided. Charles Henderson a white man was captured, charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny, and jailed with silverware valued from the Sibley home later linked to engravings.
