MOFFETT DEAD His Funeral Planned Under Masonic Auspices
William G. Moffett died in the Augusta Sanitorium Staunton after injuries from a crash near Harrisonburg. He was known as Governor Moffett in the Shenandoah Valley. Chauffeur Jones allegedly escaped custody. Funeral will be held Tuesday under Masonic auspices. The accident occurred Friday night when the automobile struck a telephone pole two miles south of Harrisonburg.

Death of John G. Carlisle Former Treasury Secretary
John G. Carlisle longtime public figure and former Secretary of the Treasury under President Cleveland died after acute indigestion. He passed away in New York at the Wolcott Hotel and his body was sent to Washington for funeral arrangements. Burial planned at Covington Kentucky. The seventeenth annual Y P C U convention closed in Harrisonburg after four days with 160 delegates. J A Armentrout of Roanoke was elected president, with W C Cooley as vice president and Rev C H Crowell as general superintendent. The union plans a 50 percent membership increase next year, with 67 delegations to the Virginia branch and 51 senior societies among the 67 total. Winchester and Frederick county delegates praised the hospitality upon return.

Funeral Services For Two Infants
The funeral of Lawrence B. Drummond infant son of Mr. and Mrs. G L Drummond was held yesterday led by Rev. George S. Bowers. Interment followed at Mount Hebron Cemetery. The chill was six months old and death came as the family prepared to move west. Maurice Bayliss infant son of Mr. and Mrs Hunter Bayliss of Chambersville died after brief illness at age 20 months. interment occurred near that place. The parents mourn their loss and friends express sympathy.
