Blue Grass League adopts 1s constitution and rules
The Blue Grass League managers met in Lexington on Tuesday to adopt a constitution and bylaws patterned after the National League. They forfeited Frankfort and Shelbyville franchises, granted Shelbyville to J Q Stewart, Frankfort to H I Phillips, and set a $750 salary cap with penalties for violations. They fixed guarantee terms, prepared umpire scheduling, and set dues at $25 with a $300 guarantee fund. The annual meeting is scheduled for November 10.
