Death of Mr R A Bishop in Bourbon county
Mr R A Bishop died at his home near Little Rock in Bourbon county on Wednesday from laryngitis at age 45. Undertakers Kerr and Bean, of this city, will convey the body. Funeral Friday at 1 30 pm conducted by Revs Ligon and Reynolds at North Middletown Christian, followed by burial. Survived by his wife Miss Mattie Morgan, children, and several brothers and sisters.

White versus Jouett timber land case reversed
The Court of Appeals reversed the Clark county case John G. White versus E. Jouett. Jouett recovered a verdict for 13500 dollars a third of the commission for selling 14000 acres of timber land in Leslie county. The court says the verdict was 1350 too high and the judgment is reversed to that extent.

Mrs Greenleaf Burned Protects from Coal Fire
Richmond Kentucky February 29 Mrs Greenleaf wife of John E Greenleaf cashier of the Southern National Bank was severely burned while trying to add coal to a stove her dress caught fire a colored man saved her life and she is believed to be seriously burned. She is the mother of Police Judge J J Greenleaf and Miss Van Greenleaf. Davie testified before the grand jury saying masked men whipped him tied him to a tree in bare feet and night clothes and forced him to leave the county after prompting claims about the killing of Jenkins.

Skeletons recovered after fire at Colored Orphans Home
In Lexington Kentucky on February 29 skeletons of Avanda Lee Mason 2 Mattie C Mason 4 and Sallie Toward 8 were recovered from the basement debris under the left wing of the building after water had flooded the site. Frank Jones and nine helpers removed debris and found the three bodies close together with faces burned beyond recognition.

In Hopkinsville Kentucky six masked men abducted Gus Evans and Will Davie from their Kennedy homes at midnight to whip them. Evans escaped wounded and sought safety in Clarksville Tennessee while Davie was severely beaten.
