Clever work by the local detectives
Officers John Ballard and Albert Tanner made quick work catching John Dwyer after he stole more than 200 pounds of brass from the old brick yard in the northwest. Dwyer sold the brass to J. W. Hisle and was jailed by 4:30. The brass was returned to B. F. Curtis, owner of the yard, and the man faces an examining trial before Judge F. P. Pendleton Friday night in Police Court.
