Webb Motor Wagon Approved by City Council
The City Council will confirm tomorrow night the purchase of the Webb motor hose wagon bought at Vincennes Indiana by W P Hackett and Chief A R Baldwin for the fire department. The wagon is praised as the best motor wagon on the market and should double department efficiency with a forty horsepower engine one thousand feet of hose a forty four gallon chemical tank two twenty four foot ladders and other firefighting gear. Its very large gong can be heard eight blocks away warning citizens in advance of its approach.
