A R Butler, age 70, died Friday evening in Huntsville after paralysis that began last Wednesday. He lived in Huntsville many years and earlier in this city. He leaves a widow and daughter Mrs. Claude Wilson. Funeral services were held at the Huntsville church Sunday afternoon with ministers O T Martin Scotten and R Bundy officiating. Burial followed in Huntsville cemetery.

Farmer Exhibits Unusual 11 Foot 8 Inch Corn Stalks
Philip Hobbick, a well known farmer north of Winchester, shows two corn stalks 11 feet 8 inches tall grown on his farm. The stalks were planted May 10 and tasselled August 1. ears now measure 13 inches. The field has grown only corn and potatoes for 16 years, with oats as a fertilizer last fall. A hail storm damaged the crop but damage was limited.
