Motion for New Trial Overruled in Indiana Case
In the Circuit Court last Wednesday the motion for a new trial in State of Indiana v Eddie Kelley was overruled by Judge A L Bales. Kelley was convicted of grand larceny for robbing Ridgeville's state bank and habitual criminal charges, with sentence from one to fourteen years and life on the latter. An appeal was filed. Kelley was taken to Michigan. Indictments against Benjamin F Danielle George Mercier and William J Huber were returned for conspiracy and grand larceny, with bonds set. they were released on bonds. Numerous estates and divorces were also noted with hearings set for May 13. New cases filed include several divorce, note, conversion, and condemnation actions.

George Lemaux Dies at 58 in Indianapolis Hospital
George Lemaux aged 58 died at Methodist hospital Indianapolis after a Monday operation. A Ridgeville, Indiana native, he previously ran a grocery in Ridgeville and later became general manager and president of Brush and Brum Company in Indianapolis. Survived by mother Mrs. Murello Lemaux of Ridgeville, a son Irving W. Lemaux, and brother W. A. Lemaux. Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Crown Hill cemetery, Indianapolis.

Mrs Thomas Henry Clark died Monday morning at 10 following a brief illness. She leaves husband two sons Este Platt Kalamazoo Michigan Carl Platt Richmond and daughter Leona Lohman Richmond and sister Mrs I N Stout. Short services were held Monday at the home at 3 30 led by Rev O T Martin before the body was sent to Richmond for funeral services at 3 30 Wednesday with interment in Richmond Cemetery.

Watson Injured in Auto Mishap Near Indianapolis
Last Sunday in Indianapolis S. Watson and companions Charles Watson and Frank Bradman were in a car on Washington Street when struck by a Cadillac. The vehicle overturned trapping four occupants.
