Historic Gun Returned to War Effort in WWII Era
A French 180 pound bronze gun once presented to Capt. E H Durell of the U S S Connecticut in 1915 was consigned to the scrap heap by its owner with the proceeds donated to the Winchester Frederick Chapter of the Red Cross.
