Woman Drenches Officer With Moonshine During Arrest Try
Sheriff Pannett and Deputy DeHaven went to Orndorff home in western Frederick county to arrest Blanton Orndorff on a charge of firing at Mrs. Henry and her son. A woman in the house poured moonshine from a second story window drenching DeHaven and then threw a gallon jug at him missing his head. Orndorff was not found. search of the area yielded no trace. The case stems from a dispute over a cow and a deadly shooting last autumn when Orndorff and two sons were arrested but later released for lack of evidence who fired the fatal shot.

The Pennsylvania Railroad division updates its passenger timetable effective yesterday. The 7.10 am departure now arrives Hagerstown at 8.40 am with no Harrisburg connection until 11.55 am. The 1.40 pm train is rescheduled to 1.50 pm and will reach Harrisonburg with close east west connections. Weekday 4.50 pm service goes to Harrisonburg unchanged.
