Explorer and author W B Seabrook dies by overdose
William Buehler Seabrook a 59 year old author and explorer and former Winchester resident was found dead at his Rhinebeck New York farm home from an overdose of sleeping pills. The Dutchess county medical examiner ruled death by own action noting he had threatened to take his life. Seabrook who traveled with voodoo tribes in Haiti and Bedouin groups in the Arabian mountains was born February 22 1886 in Westminster Maryland and studied at Mercerburg Roanoke College Newberry College and Geneva University before returning to journalism in Georgia and later forming a advertising agency.
