The Rev. Miller J. Miller 33 of Winchester, native of Weyers Cave, was elected superintendent of the Virginia Conference of the Union Brethren Church at the opening session, defeating Dr. James W. Wright on the second ballot 46 to 34. He previously pastored in Winchester after teaching at a college and is brother of Shenandoah College president Wade S. Miller.
