The House pension committee reports favorably a bill for a minimum $50 monthly pension to Civil War veterans. Widows receive $30 and children under 16 get $6, nurses $30. The measure adds $66 million to the pension roll in its first years and, if enacted, would reach $72 for totally disabled veterans and $90 for those with severe service disabilities.

Funeral services will be at St Johns Church after a 10 oclock service at the house.
