Ford Motor Co announces a 1970 model price increase averaging 108 dollars or 3.6 percent, smaller than GM’s rise. Maverick remains the low priced American car at 1995 dollars, while California models gain mandatory 35 dollar exhaust emission systems.
John W. Brown III of Front Royal Road faces a murder charge in Frederick County Circuit Court the trial delayed at the request of the Commonwealth to permit psychiatric examination. Brown 41 was indicted May 19 for the May 6 pistol slaying of his wife Ruth Osborne Brown. Attorney is David G. Simpson. Pat White's Beauty Shop closed due to death in the family until further notice.
