Balanced Budget Drive Seeks Constitutional Convention Firing Up
A group backing a balanced federal budget says it may push Congress next year to call a national constitutional convention with two thirds of the states. The National Taxpayers Union aims to force action on a four year balanced budget amendment while warning a convention could open the document to broad revision.
