ABERDEEN SD AP Quin tuplets were born early today to 30 year old wife of a shipping clerk Four girls and a boy were born two months premature Doctors said the babies are in good condition The Fischers have five other children ages 3% to 7 The birth marks only the fourth recorded quintuplet birth in the United States The father Andrew Fischer 38 said they moved outside the city to save on milk costs The mother Mrs Fischer 5 foot 6 red head delivered the babies in about 90 minutes with the last born at 3 10 am The babies were breech deliveries except one headfirst The hospital says the babies are getting along fine and not weighed yet The couple learned of the pregnancy after an x ray and the mother was admitted for difficulty in getting around The father described the moment as tearful and overwhelming

Four Injured In Auto Crash West of Gore
Four people were injured in a one car crash about four miles west of Gore near the West Virginia line on U S Route 50. Calvin Slonaker 18 and his 23 year old brother George both of Washington D C were riding with two hitchhikers Virgil Whitlock 59 of Gore and Tony Anderson of Kenosha Wisconsin. Calvin Slonaker was driving when the car left the road hit a tree and slammed a telephone pole. Anderson was the most seriously injured and admitted to Winchester Memorial Hospital with fractured ribs. Calvin Slonaker was treated for a leg injury and admitted for observation in Romney. Whitlock was treated and released and the older Slonaker was unharmed. The car was demolished. Calvin Slonaker was charged with failure to have his car under control. Anderson and Whitlock were taken to a local hospital by rescue squads.
