Winchester council will reorganize at 7 30 p m tomorrow as six new members join the body replacing long time incumbents. Mayor M B Clowe Jr leads the turnover while John Jones will call the session to order and nominations for president will be taken. Veterans and the new appointees replace several long serving councilmen as the city names a new fire chief and four fire wardens.

M. B. Clowe Jr. was sworn in as mayor before City Clerk Peyton Marshall on August 27 and will attend the first council meeting tomorrow. The 31-year-old war veteran and Winchester businessman plans for the October 7 appearance of the Freedom Train and will visit the League of Municipalities meeting at Old Point Comfort September 26 to 28. He says he has no drastic changes to propose and believes the new and old council members share that view.
