Winchester Chamber Names Henry Hardenburg Executive Secretary
Henry T. Hardenburg of Washington was unanimously elected Executive Secretary of the Winchester Chamber of Commerce for the year ending October 31 1947 at a special board meeting. A Navy veteran and former Office of Naval Intelligence officer, Hardenburg will assume duties mid October. The appointment drew praise from Chamber president Wendell R. Barney and other officials.

Bank Raids Across Jaffa and Tel Aviv Alarm City
Armed bands robbed the Jaffa and Tel Aviv Ottoman banks in daylight raids. In Tel Aviv about £1,500 was seized before the robbers disappeared on foot.
