Seven Winchester Gun Club members competed at Farmville Virginia September 5 and 6 with L C Anderson of Winchester winning the all round championship and Fred Tomlin leading high targets. E H Starr took professional honors and L G Richard Roanoke was amateur champion. Roanoke led in the team race after the first hundred targets but Winchester, with seven shooters, fell behind as Roanoke exceeded 20 entrants.

Charles Parker died yesterday morning at Memorial Hospital after a brief influenza illness. The 42 year old Berryville blacksmith and native of Frederick County will be laid to rest at his home in Berryville Clarke County.
