Girls Athletic Association reports growth and plans for a building
The Girls Athletic Association held its regular meeting at Handley Library with a record attendance and progress noted. The independent group, funded by dues, reports 110 members and uses funds to rent the Market street armory for exercises and a lawn party proceeds funding a swimming pool. The scouting pool is rented Friday nights for three months, with $50 already spent on the pool during a camping trip. A future building for girls is hoped, while a post meeting hour party at the armory followed, enjoyed without boys present.
