Front Royal Lions Sponsor Annual Broom Sale
The Front Royal Lions Club will hold broom sales on September 11 and 12 to fund sight conservation. Brooms come from the Virginia Workshop of the Blind, with door mats by Winchester handicapped children. Lions seek porch light on purchases and will collect old eyeglasses at J.J. Newberry's entrance. Proceeds supported eye care programs and the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind.

Eleven indictments handed down by Warren County grand jury
The Warren County Circuit Court grand jury returned eleven true bills. Defendants include Fairfax Ellis Hoffman who pleaded guilty to feloniously shooting into an automobile and endangering its occupant Alvin Sessions, with a 12 month suspended sentence and 250 dollar fine plus costs.
