Driver Charged With Fleeing Site Goes on Trial
John Lee Floyd of High Point North Carolina faced trial in Corporation court for leaving the scene of an accident that killed Mrs. Bessie Stot tlemyer on Route 50 near the city limits last August. Floyd is represented by Dabney Watts and jurors were selected as testimony proceeded after a noon recess. The case began late due to a circuit court hearing in which Judge Elliott Marshall presided.
