Amish Apostles Trek Across 48 States To Found Hartland Settlement
Roland Church and two Amish families traveled by horse drawn wagon across the country seeking converts to a plain living faith. After three years they established a settlement near Hartland Maine on land loaned by Lewis Elliot. The group, later joined by the Byler family and one other member who left, plans further missions through Canada and Alaska.
