Five people died in three separate weekend crashes in Winchester Front Royal and Clarke County. A two car collision on Middle Road near Rt 11 killed Mrs Mary Louise Crawford Evans and Russell A Smith with David A Hamilton dying later at Winchester Memorial Hospital. A Front Royal two car crash killed Mrs Wallie Rettering and wounded Jack Ritenour. Truck driver Drury Mussleman died in a fiery Rt 50 crash. Investigations ongoing and charges pending.
