Two Killed as Car Hits Buffalo Lick Bridge
Early Sunday two men, Lewis C. Ellis 18 and Howard Ellis 19, both of Arlington Virginia, died after a car hit the Buffalo Lick Run bridge east of Winchester on Route 50. Louis M. Orndorff of Arlington, Virginia, was seriously injured with a fractured leg and remained hospitalized at Memorial Hospital. The vehicle owned by Orren K. Rhodes of Arlington was wrecked beyond repair. The bodies were sent to Washington, D. C. for services.

Judgment Given Against Germany in Mixed Claims Award
The German-American Mixed Claims Commission awarded about 50 million dollars to Americans with claims from the Black Tom and Kingsland sabotage cases of 1916 and 1917.
