Remains of Frances Gray Carter Brought Home
The body of Frances Gray Carter, daughter of John and Jane Gray, longtime Winchester residents, arrived from Philadelphia after dying of heart disease while visiting relatives in Philadelphia. She had lived in Ithaca New York and was funeral at John Mann Church at 3 pm with Rev. Hodges Rev. Quiett and Rev. Reid officiating. Burial followed at Orrick Cemetery. She leaves four sisters Ida Gertrude Mary Edith and two brothers John I Gray Washington and George Gray Fairmont WV. Her parents lived near Braddock and streets for years.
