Gilbert F Oates 33 of Gore died last night on Route 50 west of Winchester when his car hit a truck driven by Maurice H McDonald Romney W Va owned by Sunrise Orchard Co Martinsburg W Va Deputy DeHaven said the crash happened on a sharp curve near the Newton J Miller residence. Kenneth C Sirbaugh 20 of Gore a passenger in Oates car suffered facial and head cuts not serious. McDonald uninjured said Oates skidded into the truck. Truck damage about 450 dollars. Oates car total loss. McDonald charged with involuntary manslaughter bond 500 set for 2 p m November 8.

Arrest Made in Loudoun County Dragging Case
A 28 year old married white woman was dragged from her bed and injured by a Black man in Leesburg Virginia. Sam Legion 22 of Berryville was jailed early today and will be charged with the incident. The husband and child were in the home when the attack occurred. Legions arrest followed a midnight pickup on Washington Ave near Leesburg.
