Naval officers die in midair crash in Pensacola
Two U S Navy officers Lieut E R Frawley and Lieut W J McCord were killed when their Curtiss Hawks collided at about 5000 feet over Pensacola Florida. One plane crashed on Sixth avenue and Strong street the other on Davis and Soto street. Both officers were married and lived in Pensacola. Frawley had been due to transfer to the Philippines next month. An inquiry was begun to determine the cause of the crash. Frawley was an expert rower and former football coach at the Naval Academy.
