Studious 14 year old fires in Hanover shooting spree
In Hanover Maryland a 14 year old student wounded two classmates after a confrontation at a home and later shot at a rural store. He was captured at a gravel pit near dawn and questioned for juvenile delinquency. Owner Andrew Jacobs died of a heart attack after being shot. The wounded are Carol Ann Downing and Francis Bussey. Both victims were treated at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and were listed in satisfactory condition.

Four persons were slightly hurt and damage to over 2000 dollars occurred when a car and a tractor trailer collided on Route 11 north of town. Edward Lange, 1700 8 Loudoun St., the car driver, and three passengers were treated for cuts and bruises at Memorial Hospital. Police said the 1953 Chevrolet sedan was northbound in the southbound lane at 12:20 a.m. as Jack Tabor of Roanoke drove a Reo tractor-trailer southbound and attempted to avoid the head on collision.
