Lynchburg Businessman to Buy Ambassador College for Christian Work
Lynchburg businessman F William Menge plans to pay 10.6 million dollars for Ambassador College in Big Sandy Texas to redirect profits into religious activities. He leads Mac-Men Associated Companies with 17 firms and about 70 million in assets. The facility will be leased to the James Robinson Evangelistic Association and a planned self contained Christian enclave with a shopping center. Menge cites religious aims and possible tax relief as factors though he is a Thomas Road Baptist Church board member.
