Four people were injured in a head on crash east of Front Royal reported this afternoon. Mrs L A Walters 35 of Front Royal sustained facial and head wounds and a crushed right foot. Mrs Alice Kilpatrick 40 of Front Royal had a lacerated hand and facial cuts. Edward H Schwandt 63 of Cleveland Ohio had head cuts. Minnie Binz 50 of Palm Heights Ohio had a broken right shoulder. Driver F A Patrick 27 of Front Royal was uninjured and jailed for liquor intoxication awaiting a hearing next month.
The air ministry said a successful reconnaissance flight over northwestern Germany was conducted last night. The aircraft reached its objectives and all returned safely.
