Apple Picker Gets Six Month Term
Frank Mobley 27 of Orlando Florida received a six month jail sentence from Police Justice John Rice after being found guilty of assault against Willy Maphis 29 also of Orlando. Maphis was struck with a bottle during an argument on North Kent Street. The felonious assault charge was reduced to a lesser count.

Dr Paul Chapman of the Winchester Frederick County Health Department announced that 10 year old Patrica Ann Smith who died at Winchester Memorial Hospital was not a polio victim. The cause of death remains undetermined though the child who attended James Wood High School did not have infantile paralysis. The child fell ill Sunday and died after Monday admission.
