Martinsburg couple improving after wreck with locomotive
Gray Silver and his wife, prominent Martinsburg residents, are slowly recovering at Martinsburg's Kings Daughters Hospital after a Friday night crash when their car collided with a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive near Hagerstown Maryland. Mrs Silver sustained multiple leg fractures and facial injuries. Mr Silver suffered injuries to the face chest and knees. Both remain in shock. Mr Silver is brother of Mrs Harper wife of Rev Louis F Harper and a former West Virginia state senator and Washington representative of the American Farm Bureau. He recently led the Eastern Grain Growers in a Washington trip when the accident happened.

A special meeting of the directors of the Pennsylvania Water and Power Company will be held in New York likely next Thursday to arrange for preliminary work on the Safe Harbor hydro electric project on the Susquehanna River at Safe Harbor Pennsylvania.
