Rear Admiral Richardson Clover retired U S Navy died on a train west of Cheyenne today at age 73. He was traveling from California to his home in Washington D C. The notice mentions daily bus service to Martinsburg Williamsport and Hagerstown at 845 a m and 1245 p m.
The issued order from Indianapolis directs all union bituminous miners to cease coal production at midnight October 31, 1919. It is signed by John J. Lewis acting president and William Green secretary-treasurer from the international headquarters.

Military authorities and federal agents said Alexander Ivankoff a radical leader and bomber once employed at Gary steel mills is not yet under arrest. Dozens of FBI investigators searched Chicago for clues while four raids in Gary yielded about 20 detentions with six held. A list of hundreds of radicals and planned uprisings is in federal hands as troops keep Gary under control and permit the first outdoor mass meeting since command began.

Information from Washington reports William Bentzel a native of Frederick county was killed in a quarrel with a black woman in a garage work gang incident. Bentzel died from a skull fracture and his body will be brought to Winchester for burial pending a coroner inquest. He is survived by his parents and sister Bessie Bentzel.
