Carter Hall Becomes Nucleus for Project Hope Work
Millwood hosts Carter Hall 77 acres and outbuildings bought by Project Hope for 850000 dollars. The health foundation renovates the mansion and outbuildings into offices and dorms with a three story Learning Resource Center, using Howard Shockey and Sons Inc for restoration and 14 local hires so far. Completion targets include April for major work and early spring occupancy as Hope expands its local staff to about 75 to 100 people.
