Route Seven Nears Completion With Surface Work
Route Seven reconstruction to the West Virginia line is nearing completion. Surface treatment should finish by October 20 after a 21.72 mile rebuild with about 1,500 feet of macadam remaining. The 40 foot right of way includes 34 feet graded and 20 feet paved. Four new concrete arch bridges replace obsolete spans between Winchester and the West River area. Final details are due by mid November, with heavy work largely finished by month’s end.
