The Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South voted 218 to 99 to unify with the Methodist Episcopal Church and the Methodist Protestant Church. A total of 317 votes were cast with no roll call or debate. Bishop Arthur J. Moore said the conference had made history and noted that 99 voting no were “good Methodists.”

Holston Votes For Unification
