More than 1,200 anti nuclear demonstrators formed pontoon like bridges from inner tubes and rafts to reach the Seabrook atomic power plant in Seabrook New Hampshire. State police in riot gear faced the crowd as several tore a hole in the fence then retreated. A demonstrator was sprayed with Mace and treated for a hand cut. Authorities counted 250 police on site with some National Guard assistance and plans for continued action over days.
