Soldier dies of Spanish influenza at Winchester hospital
John Schultz a soldier from Camp Lee Virginia died at Memorial Hospital in Winchester from double pneumonia after influenza. He had a furlough to pick apples in Frederick county from September 26 to November 10 and was ill upon arrival. He was with Fortieth Company Training Battalion 156th Depot Brigade Camp Lee. His home was Bowerton Pennsylvania relatives notified. Local relatives stay with Mrs James C Perry as guests on North Braddock Street.
