Marion mill strike riot leaves multiple dead and wounded
At Marion Manufacturing Company cotton mill two unions clashed with non union workers in a morning riot. Sam Vickers and Randolph Hall, both union members, were killed along with at least 18 others wounded. Sheriff Adkins and deputies were injured as guardsmen were ordered to scene.
